Southside / 1199 Negotiation Update – 02/06/2020

Following our fifth bargaining session we wanted to take a moment to update you on the status of negotiations between Southside Hospital and 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East (1199).

The parties continued to make progress on several non-economic proposals during yesterday’s session. For example, after substantively discussing recruitment challenges, the parties agreed to a process that will reduce the length of time it takes to fill NP vacancies. Going forward, we’re committed to continuing to work with 1199 to reach similar agreements that will ensure the safest and most productive work environment for you.
